Sustainable school uniformsan eco-friendly solution
Go Green
Our sustainable school uniform collections recycle plastic bottles that would have otherwise polluted our oceans and our soil. The recycling process used for our fabrics enables us to reduce our oil consumption and significantly reduce our greenhouse gas emissions when manufacturing our products. This process also allows us to save freshwater, while reducing our energy consumption. And yes… the performance of our recycled fiber is superior to that of all our competitors’. Crazy isn't it?
Raising awareness about environmental sustainability
We are well aware that the fashion and textile industry is one of the most polluting industries in the world. Hence , our mission is to promote sustainable development in the education sector through our ecological school uniforms. In our opinion, it is absolutely crucial that today's youth - the consumers of tomorrow - cherish this cause and adopt sustainable purchasing habits early on.
The fashion and clothing industry is responsible for more than 10% of the world's annual carbon dioxide emissions.
More than 8 million tons of plastic end up in our oceans every year.
The fashion industry produces 20% of the world's wastewater.
Recycled school uniforms, what does that mean?
Recycled plastic bottles
Plastic bottles are collected from the oceans and soils to preserve our environment.
Bottles ground into flakes
The bottles are cleaned, cut into pieces, melted and turned into flakes.
Flakes transformed into yarn
The recycled plastic flakes are first made into yarn.
Woven, knitted and sewn yarn
The yarn is used to make the recycled polyester fabrics used by Hub1916 School to produce environmentally sustainable school uniforms.
